The oldest ski resort in France and situated at between 1,800 m and 2,600 m altitude, Montgenèvre is renowned for the quality of its snow, its orientation, the length of the ski season (from the end of November to the end of April) and its sporting level.

Furthermore, when the mountain metamorphoses from white to green, Montgenèvre and the Hautes-Alpes region offer intense and varied activities.

Montgenèvre is a pass between Italy and France and offers the advantages of both countries. Alongside the mountain traditions and cultures and the terroir of this magnificent area of the Cottian Alps, you will enjoy French and Italian gastronomy, from the finest dishes to the most aromatic wines.

In winter, Montgenèvre offers a unique skiing area – the Grand Montgenèvre and the Monts de la Lune – with 110 km of slopes and many fun areas for both experienced and beginner skiers alike. A link to Italy opens up the area to the rest of the 400 km of slopes of the Via Lattea, the fifth largest ski area in the world! Besides being open for skiing from the end of November to the end of April, Montgenèvre offers unique snow cover and sunshine, thanks to the Retour d’Est (Return from the East) and a south-facing orientation.

In summer, Montgenèvre offers a wide range of fun activities such as mountain-biking, golfing, trailing, tree adventure, canyoning, rafting and paragliding. There is also a multi-leisure park and children’s activities that will delight the little ones and which have led Montgenèvre to be awarded the Famille Plus/Vivre Ensemble label. Once again, Montgenèvre’s extraordinary orientation allows outdoor sports or play activities at altitude in unique conditions.
